The Summertown-Wolvercote-Wytham Church Partnership has been an important feature of our churches' lives from the inception of the Ecumenical Parish in 1982. Today, we share a collaboration of four churches and two denominations: St Michael & All Angels; Wolvercote's St Peter's Anglican and Baptist Churches; and, most recently, with All Saint's Church in Wytham Village. Sadly, the United Reformed Church in Summertown has closed (March 2022) with its members being offered pastoral support and care by the remaining Partnership churches.
The original vision was to inspire different church denominations to do things together, displaying a public unity of faith. Many friendships have been formed over the 40 years of partnership.
What we do in Partnership is to be a witness to a shared vision of ministry and mission within our local area with joint activities and new initiatives, mission and outreach events, as well as joint services and study courses. We have a joint website: http://swwcp.org/
The Partnership Enabling Group is keen to focus our activities in the most effective way to continue our collaboration and shared ministry into the future. To help us do this, we are asking everyone across the Partnership to put aside a few minutes over the coming holiday season to reflect and respond to our survey. The survey will close on New Year's Day.
